Patriots WR Romeo Doubs expressed enthusiasm about the potential of teaming up with A.J. Brown, a three-time All-Pro receiver. The Patriots are considering a trade for Brown to enhance their receiving corps.
New England Patriots fans have spent weeks considering the possibility of the team trading for three-time All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown and pairing him with Romeo Doubs. It's a move that would give the Patriots one of the best receiving corps that they've had in years.
Doubs was asked about the possibility of teaming with Brown this season, and he claimed that he would "love" to have the star wideout in New England.
"I have a ton of respect for him. ...If he's here, I would love to have him here," said Doubs, via The Athletic's Chad Graff.
The Patriots are expected to trade with the Philadelphia Eagles for Brown on or after June 1, when the Eagles would avoid less of a dead cap hit.
Brown hauled in 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns with the Eagles in what some consider a down season last year. Doubs, on the other hand, proved to be an ascending talent, racking up a career-high 724 yards and six touchdowns on 55 catches.
Brown and Doubs together would be a tremendous pairing for a Patriots offense looking to take things to another level in 2026.
