Penn State wrestling is pursuing Lorenzo Norman, a redshirt freshman from Stanford, who has shown potential with a 21-6 record. Despite some postseason struggles, he could be a valuable addition to the team.

Throughout the years, Penn State wrestling has prided itself on building up a program that no matter what, can compete at the highest level. Whether you are an underclassman or an upperclassman, you will get a chance in this team. That's why it is paramount that the Blue and white continue to add talent, even through the portal. One wrestler in particular could become a very intriguing piece to add to the potential Penn State dynasty.
Lorenzo Norman, who was a redshirt freshman at Stanford last season, is apparently interested in the Nittany Lions, according to FloWrestling. He would be a much rawer prospect than several already with the squad, but he still showed signs of competitiveness in his first year of collegiate wrestling. He ended up finishing with a 21-6 record, including going an impressive 9-1 in his duals. He also logged an impressive seven wins against ranked opponents, something the Nittany Lions thrive upon.
Still, there were also slip-ups along the way, where in the postseason, he really faltered, going 1-2 at the ACC Championships and barely sneaking into the NCAA tournament as a 16 seed, where he finished with the same record. While Penn State may want a more polished wrestler, Norman could be someone molded into a championship-caliber member of the squad. At 174 pounds, chances are he will get a lot of opportunities to prove himself.
