Peru's Cooper Sweeney and Saranac's Rhys Fraser both shot 39 to share medalist honors in a close golf match. Peru defeated Saranac Lake 4-2 in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference.
PLATTSBURGH â Peruâs Cooper Sweeney and Saranacâs Rhys Fraser each carded a 39 to share medalist honors in the Nighthawksâ 4-2 win over the Spartans in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference golf at The Barracks on Wednesday.
Sweeney, competing in the No. 2 match; Patrick Clark; Paxton Akin; and Steve Santor won their matches for Peru.
Winning for Saranac were Fraser in the No. 1 match and Eric Glover.

Both No. 1 golfers turned in the low rounds for their respective teams. Lake Placidâs Carver Bell was medalist with a 38, and Ryan McGinnis-Theis carded a 40 for Saranac Lake.
The Red Storm got wins from Jonah Peckham (44), Noah Hastings (43) and Ryder Harrison (42).
Bell and Oren Preston (41) won matches for the Blue Bombers, and another match was halved.
