PFF: Saints picked two of this year's biggest reaches in 2026 draft

Few teams got faster and more dynamic in the 2026 NFL Draft than the New Orleans Saints, even if they didn't necessarily address big needs at cornerback and edge rusher. Head coach Kellen Moore and quarterback Tyler Shough have an offense full of new weapons to work with.

But not everyone is happy with their draft-day haul. According to the Pro Football Focus big board, the Saints reached on five of their picks in the 2026 draft -- with third-round tight end Oscar Delp and sixth rounder Barion Brown (a wide receiver and returns specialist) among the biggest reaches in the entire draft class. First-round wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, fourth-round guard Jeremiah Wright, and fifth-round safety Lorenzo Styles Jr. were also taken earlier than PFF predicted. With that said, fourth-round wide receiver Bryce Lance was graded as one of the draft's better steals by going later than anticipated.
