Brian Rolapp has major plans for the PGA Tour, with the CEO looking to shake up the schedule in the near future.
Rolapp is aiming to create the best possible product for players, fans and stakeholders, which wonāt be an easy task.
It will, of course, take time, while his plans may be seriously impacted by the uncertainties surrounding LIV Golf.
But focusing solely on the PGA Tour should be the priority for Rolapp, with his plans for Signature Events alone already looking very sensible following the RBC Heritage.
Rolapp wants to double the number of Signature Events on the PGA Tour, of which there are eight in the 2026 schedule.
The latest was the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links last week, where Matt Fitzpatrick emerged victorious.
But also winning was the PGA Tour itself, with Sports Business Journalās Josh Carpenter reporting on X that 4.35 million viewers on CBS watched the final round.
The event recorded the PGA Tourās second-highest average of 2026, second only to the 4.4 million figure from The Players Championship.
Itās a huge boost for the PGA Tour, with fans clearly appreciative of Signature Events, suggesting that more in the schedule can only be a good thing.
Of course, Fitzpatrick and Scottie Scheffler played a key role in a thrilling playoff battle, where the fans also helped by creating an electric atmosphere.
