The Philadelphia 76ers beat the Boston Celtics 109-100 in Boston in Game 7 last Saturday night.
Joel Embiid delivered an outstanding performance under pressure with 34 points, leading his team in hostile territory to overturn a 3-1 series deficit.
That comeback alone would have been remarkable, but the result carried even greater historical significance.
Both franchises saw long-standing records fall, placing this series firmly among the most memorable in their rivalry.

According to ESPN, the Celtics had never lost a playoff series after leading 3-1 before this defeat. Their 32-0 record in such situations was the best in NBA history.
At the same time, the 76ers erased a record of their own. They had been 0-18 when trailing 3-1 in a series, the most losses without a win in league history.
By completing this turnaround, Philadelphia not only advanced but rewrote their own narrative. It is crazy to think that two opposing streaks from rivals, both unmatched, ended on the same night in Boston.
The 76ers ended their streak of losing in the second round of the playoffs and their streak of defeats against the Celtics in Game 7s.
Joel Embiid scored 34 points, leading the 76ers to victory in a crucial Game 7.
The final score was 109-100 in favor of the Philadelphia 76ers.
