Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman has never been known to hang up the phone when teams call to negotiate trades involving one of his players. Heâs also been known for being one of the most aggressive NFL GMs when it comes to finding roster upgrades for his team.
As draft weekend is set to kick off, starting on April 23, you can bet the Eagles have been busy working the phone lines. The 2026 NFL Draft presents the perfect opportunity to swing a deal or two, and the Eagles may have more trades theyâre working on later this week.
According to ESPNâs NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Eagles are âplotting to make a deal on draft weekend.â
âThe Eagles could be making more trades beyond any (A.J.) Brown-related move. League sources say that general manager Howie Roseman is plotting to make a deal on draft weekend. Roseman usually has a trick or two up his sleeve, and other front office executives suspect thereâs one coming this week.
One possibility is adding Vikings linebacker Jonathan Greenard, whom the Eagles have checked in on at various points this offseason, per sources. The Vikings have been adamant about getting a premium Day 2 pick for Greenard.
League sources say the Eagles and Vikings could revisit discussions they already have had during the upcoming draft, but talks have lost steam in recent weeks. The Eaglesâ wish list of trade candidates goes well beyond Greenard, per sources, though. Roseman almost always has a Plan A, B, C and D, and his team is one to monitor on one of the busiest weekends of the NFL calendar.â

The Eagles enter Thursdayâs event with the 23rd overall pick in the first round. Philadelphia has eight selections in total across the three-day event, including No. 54, 68, 98, and 114. Thatâs more than enough ammo to work with, especially if theyâre targeting players with reduced trade value.
As noted, the Eagles may have moved on from the pursuit of someone like Greenard, but there are several other impact players who may be up for grabs. Surely, Roseman already has a strong idea of whoâs available, and he may be ready to strike.
