The Philadelphia Phillies have a fairly strong bullpen this year, but as seen not too long ago, it's possible that a few of their top arms could land on the injured list at one time.
Jhoan Duran and Jonathan Bowlan missed time together, and while both are now back, the Phillies should always be looking to add more depth to their bullpen.
And as the Phillies announced on Thursday afternoon, they did just that with a waiver claim of a former Detroit Tigers and Athletics right-handed reliever who's just 25 years old in Frant Holman.
Frant Holman is a 25-year-old right-handed reliever who previously played for the Detroit Tigers and the Oakland Athletics.
The Phillies claimed Holman to add depth to their bullpen, especially considering potential injuries to key pitchers.
Holman could provide additional support and versatility in the bullpen, helping to mitigate the risk of injuries among the current roster.

"The Phillies have claimed RHP Grant Holman off waivers from the Detroit Tigers and optioned him to Lehigh Valley (AAA)," the Phillies announced.
This is a nice pickup for the Phillies organization, as Holman has MLB experience in his young professional career with the Athletics.
He posted a 4.02 ERA in 18 games in 2024 with the A's, and then a 5.09 ERA in 22 games and 23 innings last year.
He has yet to make an appearance in the big leagues this season, but in Triple-A, he posted a 6.75 ERA in three games with 4.0 innings of work.
In his minor league career as a reliever and opener, he's posted a 3.09 ERA with 181 strikeouts in 163 innings pitched since 2021.
The former sixth-round pick by the A's in 2021, Holman will now join the Phillies organization and join the Triple-A Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.
He's some intriguing bullpen depth for the Phillies, and could be an option if a reliever or two were to go down with injury, or the Phillies just want to shake things up this year.
