Schwarber competed in 51 games with the Red Sox in 2021. Despite such a short stint with the organization, he remains a Beantown legend. During the stretch run to the AL playoffs, he collected 10 home runs and 24 RBI.
The Red Sox elected not to re-sign Schwarber, who eventually agreed to a four-year, $79 million deal with the Phillies.
Reports indicated Red Sox officials would pursue Schwarber last December, but the free-agent re-signed with the Phillies on a five-year, $150 million deal.
