Felix Reyes deservedly gets called up to the Phillies this past week and had his first major league hit (a homerun, of course). The IronPigs offense will sure take a hit until folks like Aidan Miller and Gabriel Rincones Jr. return from injury. Jean Cabrera doing his absolute worst audition for a future call-up. In 3 starts (12.1 IP), Cabrera has given up 11 earned runs on 16 hits and 5 walks with 12 strikeouts.
Zack Wheeler allowed five runs in 4.1 innings during his rehab start for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
Other pitchers like Bryce Wilson and Connor Gillispie also struggled, giving up seven earned runs each in their appearances.
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs currently have a record of 11 wins and 10 losses.
Zack Wheeler's struggles in rehab could affect his timeline for returning to the Philadelphia Phillies' rotation.

Zack Wheeler getting some more rehab starts from the confines of Reading. While his Tuesday start last week was good, his start on the weekend was decidedly not. Velocity was noted to be way down and he was hit around quite a bit. Recovery is different for everyone and especially for as serious a surgery that Wheeler had. We should be patient there.
The offense absolutely TOOK OFF this past week. Bryson Ware and Alex Binelas both have 5 homers to start the young season. Dante Nori mashed his 2nd of the season after having all of 4 in 2025. DeMartini and Escobar both get on the board as well.

Kodey Shojinaga – 4 G, 5 for 17, 4 R, 3 2B, 7 RBI, BB, K
Mavis Graves with his best start of the season and one of the best starts to a season for the 22 year old lefty. The organization has praised his stuff and potential, but Graves’ inability to find the strike-zone has hurt him so far in his professional career. A turnaround would be huge for the Phillies farm system.

Robert Phelps – 4 G, 6 for 16, 3 R, 2B, 4 RBI, 3 BB, 3 K, SB
Gage Wood with a little less command this week, but still outstanding results. He has been as advertised thus far in 2026. His fellow 2025 draft class pitchers didn’t fare as well (Bowker, Youngerman, Craig). Nolan Beltran with a fun line this week with yes, 9 walks in just 4 games. Impressive! Matthew Ferrara, Robert Phelps and Nathan Humphreys also with quite impressive weeks.
