The Pittsburgh Pirates have made a notable bullpen move before Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals.
According to a report from Alex Stumpf, the Pirates have promoted right-hander Chris Devenski from Triple-A.
"Chris Devenski is heading to Pittsburgh," Stumpf wrote on X. "The veteran right-hander has struck out 14 over 8 innings with Triple-A Indianapolis this season. He will need to be added to the roster, so a corresponding move will come today."
Left-hander Hunter Barco was optioned to Triple-A to make space on the roster.
Devenski, 35, is a 10-year veteran who earned an All-Star selection and won the World Series with the Houston Astros in 2017.

He made 13 appearances with the New York Mets in 2025, posting a 2.16 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 16 innings before being designated for assignment to make room for 's return from the injured list in September.
