The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled right-handed relief pitcher Cam Sanders on Friday and the 29-year-old made his season debut during Saturday's 8-7 extra-inning loss vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.

Sanders struggled, allowing four runs on three hits in 2/3 of an inning, and was sent back down to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Right-handed starter Wilber Dotel was recalled from Triple-A in the corresponding move.
