Oneil Cruz has joined Pittsburgh Pirates history previously only occupied by two players, including a feat first achieved by Honus Wagner in 1909.

Cruz's feat came Saturday as the Pirates took on the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field on the way to a win in extra innings.
The feat: At least four hits and at least three steals in a game against the Cubs.
Cruz is the third Pirates player to do it, according to @JayHayKid on X. The first two: Wagner in 1909 and Tony Womack in 1998.
Cruz was 4-for-5 with a double and a walk out of the leadoff spot for Pittsburgh, raising his season average to .345 and his OPS to 1.018. All three of his steals were swiping second base.
Wagner's feat came on May 3, 1909 at the West Side Grounds in Chicago. He was 5-for-6 with a double out of the cleanup spot, and after that game was hitting .393.

Womack did it on July 5, 1998, a 7-6 Pirates loss. He was 4-for 5 with a double. Sammy Sosa actually wasn't in the lineup that day for the Cubs, but Pittsburgh couldn't win despite Womack's efforts.
And now Cruz joins Wagner and Womack.
It's really just one of those reminders of how cool baseball history is. There's all these box scores and stats and information that can travel across eras.
And that's how Cruz can share a moment with the first great Pirates legend, Honus Wagner, from 117 years earlier.
