Player Ratings: Bayern Munich 4-3 Real Madrid
Andriy Lunin â 3
Made four saves, but still conceded four times and looked extremely shaky when dealing with set pieces. His command of the box was poor, and his distribution left a lot to be desired.
Trent Alexander-Arnold â 4.5
Defensively poor on Bayernâs first two goals, and his overall passing accuracy needed to be better. That said, he did produce two outrageous passes to set up MbappĂ©.
Ăder MilitĂŁo â 7.5
He was heavily involved throughout and finished with a huge 13 clearances.
Antonio RĂŒdiger â 6
Walked the usual tightrope with his aggressive style. At times effective, at times chaotic.
Ferland Mendy â 7.5
Handled Michael Olise as well as anyone could have and also produced some brilliant moments on the ball under pressure.
Brahim DĂaz â 6.5
Could have done better in a few situations, but he was unlucky not to register an assist and played several strong passes in transition.
Jude Bellingham â 8
Outstanding at both ends. Bayern struggled to take the ball off him, and he consistently made the right decisions and touches under pressure.
Fede Valverde â 6
A quieter performance, largely because Arbeloa asked him to play deeper to help Madrid stay secure defensively. He did the dirty work.
Arda GĂŒler â 8.5
Scored two incredible goals and added beautiful touches and passes in transition. He has taken a huge leap this season and looks reliable in every big game.
Kylian MbappĂ© â 8
Did everything he could. Scored once, caused Bayern constant problems with his dribbling and transitional passing, and should have had an assist after setting up VinĂcius point-blank. He also fought hard off the ball.
VinĂcius Jr. â 4
Registered an assist and hit the bar, which saves the rating from being even lower, but this was mostly a night to forget. Upamecano got the better of him, and VinĂcius let the team down.
Substitutes
Eduardo Camavinga â 5
A difficult one to judge. After coming on, Madrid changed shape and asked him to anchor midfield and shield the back line, but Bayern overwhelmed that structure. He was then sent off in what felt like a very harsh dismissal.
Thiago Pitarch â N/A
Not on long enough to be rated.
Franco Mastantuono â N/A
Not on long enough to be rated.
