PLAYER RATINGS | PSG 3-0 Nantes: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia double sees off Les Canaris
Ligue 1 Matchday 26 (postponed), 22/04/26
Paris Saint-Germain re-established their four-point cushion at the top of the Ligue 1 table with a 3-0 win over Nantes in a fixture which had been postponed due to their European commitments. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a double to take his tally for the season to 16.
With last weekendâs results narrowing the gap between PSG and Lens to a single point, the league leadersâ midweek reception of Nantes had all of a sudden become a must-win match.
Although Luis Enrique had indicated that the clubâs (self-inflicted) busy schedule over the next few weeks would lead to rotation, the Asturian opted for a first-choice eleven to take on Les Canaris.
While relegation-battlers Nantes were on the back foot early on, PSGâs first clear chance to score came ten minutes in from a penalty decision after Ali Yusufâs handball in the box*.*Khvicha Kvaratskhelia duly converted the penalty past Anthony Lopes.
The visitors, who were without their suspended manager Vahid HalilhodĆŸiÄ, appeared to have hit back ten minutes later through Louis Leroux. After a cross into the box was headed on by Cozza, the young midfielder beat with a well-taken half-volley. The goal was eventually ruled out by ClĂ©ment Turpin for offside, however.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored two goals in the match.
The final score was PSG 3, Nantes 0.
The win re-established PSG's four-point cushion at the top of the Ligue 1 table.

PSG eventually doubled their lead shortly before half-time, with Désiré Doué finding the top-left corner with a powerful strike from the edge of the box. By this point, the early resistance from the visitors had dissipated.
Kvaratskhelia doubled his tally soon after the break. Having started the move himself with an outside-of-the-boot pass down the wing for Dembélé, the Georgian received the ball back on the edge of the box, dribbled through the Nantes defence and beat Lopes to make it 3-0.
With PSG out of sight, the final half hour saw Luis Enrique grant some playing time to his backup players. Ibrahim Mbaye notably came on to make his first appearance in over a month, with the Senegal international having ostensibly been sidelined from the first team for several matches.
While another substitute in Bradley Barcola was able to test Lopes a few times, the closing stages were otherwise an uneventful affair. Luis Enriqueâs men re-established their four-point lead, while Nantes continue to hurtle towards relegation.
