The Hawks added three more runs to its lead in the third inning, with help from a single RBI from Elrod and a dropped third strike combined with an error to bring in the other two.
Hunter Rose put up a two RBI hit in the fourth inning, getting thrown out at first, with Elrod tacking on a RBI single.
Hunter Rose and Ben Carpenter combined for the shutout on the mound, with Rose logging 15 strikeouts and zero hits over six innings.
The Hawks get back out on to the field Friday, April 17 at North Lamar.
