Manchester City enter the final stretch of the season with silverware already in the cabinet, having defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final back in March, and a trophy hunt right until the very end of the campaign has caught the eye of the Premier League’s panel through representation across every major individual category for end-of-season awards.
Starting with the most senior of individual player awards, the Premier League have included Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo (also of Bournemouth during the 2025/26 season) in their nominations for Player of the Season.
The Etihad Stadium duo are joined by Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal’s Gabriel, David Raya, and Declan Rice, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, and Brentford’s Igor Thiago.
As for the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season award, another Manchester City duo in Rayan Cherki and Nico O’Reilly have been rightfully nominated.
That pairing are joined by West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes, Newcastle’s Lewis Hall, Brentford’s Michael Kayode, Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi and Alex Scott, and Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo.
Concluding the nominees, Pep Guardiola has been put forward for the 2025/26 Premier League Manager of the Season award alongside Brentford’s Keith Andrews, Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Manchester United’s Michael Carrick, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, and Sunderland’s Regis Le Bris.
The inclusion of Antoine Semenyo and Erling Haaland is no surprise to those who have followed Manchester City’s offensive output this term, particularly during the second-half of the season.
Haaland currently sits on 26 Premier League goals to top the goalscoring charts in the division, while Semenyo’s combined impact for both Bournemouth and City – contributing 16 goals across the season – has made him one of the signings of the year.
Meanwhile, the nomination for Nico O’Reilly marks a landmark moment for the City Football Academy, and after his match-winning brace in the Carabao Cup final, the 21-year-old has become a mainstay in Pep Guardiola’s defensive and midfield rotation.
