Premier League manager high on Real Madrid shortlist to replace Arbeloa – report

The hunt for a new manager to replace Alvaro Arbeloa at the end of the season is fully underway at Real Madrid.

So far, plenty of names have been linked as potential candidates, but there has been no clear frontrunner for the job.

Jose Mourinho and Jurgen Klopp are the two coaches being hyped up as the most preferred options, but appointing either comes with a set of challenges of its own.

Unai Emery a contender for Real Madrid job

Now, according to talkSPORT in England, Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is another candidate who is quite high on Real Madrid’s shortlist for the summer.

The Spaniard has been in charge at Villa Park since 2022 and has done a fine job of elevating the team. He has prior experience of coaching in Spain, having managed Almeria, Valencia, Sevilla, and Villarreal.

At the same time, Emery has also had a taste of managing big clubs like Arsenal and PSG in the past, checking several boxes for Real Madrid.
