Conference leader Augusta picked up its fifth conference win and seventh win overall with a come-from-behind walk-off 7-6 win against Melrose-Mindoro.
The Beavers entered the seventh inning down three runs and rallied for three runs with two outs to send the game to extras.
Junior Brooklyn Krueger played hero, as she drew a bases-loaded walk for the Augusta win in the eighth. Krueger also tallied two hits and picked up the win in two innings in relief of Augusta starter Laney O’Brien, who struck out 12 in six innings.
Cecelia Schroeder paced the Beaver offense with four hits and two doubles while Rachel West picked up a double and two RBI.
Melrose-Mindoro looked like it had the game in regulation after a Bella Rozek homer and a pair of three-hit days from Opal Buchanan and Cooper Zeman.
Elsewhere in the Dairyland, Eleva-Strum picked up its first conference and first overall win of the season in extras 2-1 over Osseo-Fairchild.
Junior Josie Iverson sent the Cardinals home happy with a walk-off double, her second double of the day, to score fellow junior Maddea Brown.
Cardinals senior pitcher Ruby Bartholomew was her usual star self, throwing eight innings of one-hit and one-run ball with 16 strikeouts. She also picked up a double and scored a run.
