Penn State football will have a completely overhauled roster to get to know in 2026 under new head coach Matt Campbell. Following one of the most active offseasons in recent memory for Penn State with a flurry of activity in the transfer portal, fans will have a lot of catching up to do in getting to know this year's Penn State roster. Fortunately, not every face will be brand new to fans. Regardless, we will be here to give you a fresh overview of every player on the roster for the 2026 season with a series of player profiles.
From all of the returning players, a long list of new faces from the transfer portal, and incoming recruits from the Class of 2026, we will have you covered with this year's player profiles for the Penn State roster. Here is a quick look at running back Cam Wallace for the 2026 season.
Class of 2023: Consensus 3-star, No. 62 ranked athlete, per 247Sports
Wallace was not one of the highly touted running backs in the Class of 2023 but he offered the kind of speed that made him an intriguing prospect. The idea was to build him up a bit to eventually succeed Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen.
Injuries and a loaded running back room prevented Cam Wallace from making much of an impact with the Nittany Lions during his first two seasons. He ran 24 times for 86 yards and a touchdown in that span.
With a bunch of top-end talent to compete with, it’s hard to see Wallace having a huge role in the running game. However, he could be used as a change-of-pace back because of his size, which could also potentially come in handy as a receiver. Those are likely the areas Wallace will need to focus on if he wants to impact the offense.
Wallace has two cousins who played college football in the past.
