The Falcons have brought in multiple quarterbacks, wide receivers, linebackers and defensive backs, many of whom will compete for starting jobs during training camp.
At quarterback, Michael Penix Jr. and Tua Tagovailoa are set to battle it out for the starting job. Rookies Avieon Terrell and Zachariah Branch each have a chance to start this season. Offensive lineman Jawaan Taylor will replace Kaleb McGary at right tackle.

I think Branch will be the team's long-term No. 2 wide receiver, but as you can see, I have the rookie starting out in the slot this season. That's partially due to his status as a third-round pick, and partially due to the team giving Jahan Dotson a two-year, $15 million contract, including $10 million guaranteed.
Rookie Avieon Terrell, he has a chance to start at the nickel, but for now, we have him slated behind No. 2 CB Mike Hughes on the depth chart. We have Maason Smith penciled in as the starting nose tackle, but that position is far from settled. Sixth-round pick Anterio Thompson should provide depth behind defensive tackle Brandon Dorlus this season. Plus, we have Christian Harris starting next to Divine Deablo at linebacker.
As you can see, the Falcons have two new starters, including the NFL's most accurate kicker in Nick Folk. Atlanta also signed veteran punter Jake Bailey, who will replace Bradley Pinion in 2026.
