The Milwaukee Brewers are considering a trade to acquire two-time All-Star slugger Isaac Paredes for $9.4 million following Christian Yelich's injury. Yelich's adductor strain has left the team in need of offensive support as they sit fourth in the NL Central with an 8-8 record.

The Milwaukee Brewers just suffered a blow with their MVP outfielder Christian Yelich going on the IL with an adductor strain, leaving their lineup without a star power bat. With a record of 8-8 and in fourth place in the NL Central, they canāt afford to lose Yelichās offense.
With that in mind, they need to find a replacement bat. Sportās Illustratedās Patrick McAvoy proposes that the Brewers make a trade for someone theyāve already been linked to in Houston Astros All-Star Slugger Isaac Paredes.
The trade would look like this:
Brewers get: 3B Isaac Paredes
Astros get: MIL No.17 prospect LHP Robert Gasser, OF Garrett Mitchell
āThe Astros infielder was one of the most talked-about trade candidates all throughout the offseasonā¦In this scenario, the Brewers would hand the Astros a starting pitcher and an outfielder who could help right now. In return, the Brewers would get someone who could slot in as the team's designated hitter and give the lineup some much-needed power with Yelich on the shelf,ā McAvoy wrote.
So far this season, Paredes is slashing .234/.345/.319/.665 with four doubles and six RBI in 13 games. While heās off to a slow start, keep in mind, heās no longer a starter, which would be corrected if sent to Milwaukee, where he could show off his 20+ home run power.
Heās also cheap, which is important for a mid-market team like Milwaukee. Heās set to make $9.4 million this season, and has a club option for $13.4 million next season.
Hopefully, the Brewers realize this is a trade they need to make soon, as the longer Yelich is out, the smaller their playoff chances get.
