Esteban Lepaul is piling up goals, and that is starting to attract fine company. PSG and AS Monaco have arrived in the race for a player whose value is climbing at a dizzying rate.
Ligue 1's top scorer, on fire in this final sprint that could very well bring Stade Rennais to the Champions League, Lepaul, 26, is generating a lot of transfer talk. The former SCO Angers striker is even mentioned as the offensive joker for the France team at the World Cup if Didier Deschamps ever needed some new blood.
His future is also generating a lot of discussion. Strasbourg took an interest in him in recent weeks, as its two star forwards will be absent next season. Rennes is not looking to sell, but if offers were to multiply, it could become difficult to resist. Proof of this is the interest now being expressed by PSG and AS Monaco.
Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur points out that the man who has been involved in 40 percent of Rennes' goals this season has entered the market for "Champions League"- level clubs.
PSG and Monaco have been announced as in "pole position" for Lepaul. Paris is looking for a true center forward and finisher, even if a starting role cannot be guaranteed. For its part, Monaco needs new blood up front and hopes to pull off a major coup with a player capable of making Ligue 1 defenses tremble.
PSG and AC Milan are interested in Esteban Lepaul due to his impressive goal-scoring performance, making him a valuable asset as Rennes aims for Champions League qualification.
In addition to PSG and AC Milan, AS Monaco and Strasbourg are also monitoring Esteban Lepaul's transfer situation as his value continues to rise.
Esteban Lepaul is being considered as a potential offensive option for the France national team at the World Cup, especially as a fresh addition to the squad.

If he was bought for €13.5 million by Rennes at the start of the season, he is now officially worth €21 million. But it is a doubled amount that will now be necessary to transfer him, the transfer window specialist reports.
A €42 million package could indeed seal his departure, while the player is, for the moment, focused on the end of the season. The son of Fabrice Lepaul had tripled his salary by signing from Angers to Rennes, reaching €110,000 per month.
Now, he is reportedly looking to double that sum, either by extending in Brittany or by signing with one of his suitors. The two Milan clubs, Inter and AC Milan, are also interested in his signature.
