After the clash between supporters on the road to Angers on Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain took a radical measure. The club from the Paris region excluded the Parias Cohortis, a group within the Collectif Ultras Paris. The affected fans have their season tickets suspended until the end of the season.
PSG did not waste time. Two days after the incidents, the capital club showed a red card to the Parias Cohortis. The group that is part of the Collectif Ultras Paris was deemed responsible for Saturday's incidents.
As the Parisian supporters were heading to Angers, a clash broke out along the way, specifically at La Ferté-Bernard in the Sarthe region. One of the buses transporting the fans was damaged, with broken windows.
The vehicles, therefore, turned around with the 500 passengers, reducing the away section to only 300 supporters at Stade Raymond Kopa. Two days later, the 120 members of the Parias Cohortis learned that their season tickets had been suspended until the end of the season.
All with the agreement of the Collectif Ultras Paris, which excluded them. "The club condemns with the greatest firmness the incidents that occurred on the sidelines of the trip of certain supporter groups to Angers," PSG told L'Equipe.
"The club has made the firm decision, accepted by the CUP (Collectif Ultras Paris), to exclude the group in question until the end of the season," added the Parisian management. "The permanent exclusion of violent members will be the firm condition for a possible reinstatement of the group in the Auteuil section next season." Another condition revealed by RMC, which does not appear in the statement sent to the sports daily, the Parias Cohortis will have to change their position in the Auteuil section of the Parc des Princes. Another decision was made with the Collectif Ultras Paris.
