The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Fowler-Nicolosi was brought in to add experience and depth to the quarterback room. With Davis Warren, Jadyn Davis and Mikey Keene all transferring away from Michigan, Fowler-Nicolosi’s presence and prior starting experience are a positive. Fowler-Nicolosi, 22, will have to work his way up to the depth chart. He didn’t participate in spring ball but will be with the team beginning in the summer term. Bryce Underwood is Michigan’s starting quarterback, and incoming freshman Tommy Carr is currently the backup after an impressive spring game performance. While Fowler-Nicolosi will get an opportunity to overtake Carr if he earns it, it would be a surprise to see him overtake him on the depth chart with all the positive buzz surrounding Carr at the onset of his collegiate career. Don’t be surprised if Fowler-Nicolosi and Carr both receive snaps in Week 1 against Western Michigan if the game becomes a blowout.
