The Green Bay Packers' 2026 schedule features 17 games, starting in Minnesota and concluding against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field. They face a challenging start with three of their first four games away from home.
The Green Bay Packers received their full, 17-game schedule for the 2026 season on Thursday. The season opens in Minnesota in Week 1 and ends against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field. Along the way, the Packers will play several games in primetime and face several tough stretches.
Can the Packers navigate a difficult schedule and improve on another seventh-place finish?
Some quick hit observations from the Packers' 2026 schedule:
-- The Packers will play three of their first four games away from home, and likely without Micah Parsons. But Weeks 1-4 appears to be one of the softest parts of the schedule, with four games against non-playoff teams from 2025. A strong start on the road and without Parsons would be a huge boost.
-- Playing a bunch of road games early means having a bunch of home games late. The Packers will finish with four of their last five games at Lambeau Field, and the one road trip is only just a few miles south to Chicago. No excuses this year. The Packers must play better down the stretch in the biggest games.
-- Prepare for holiday football. The Packers will play the NFL's first ever Thanksgiving Eve game on the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, and then a month later will play in Chicago on Christmas Day.
-- The Packers have primetime games against the Atlanta Falcons, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, and , plus a standalone game on Christmas Day. There's only six noon starts, and that could change with flex scheduling.

-- The bye week arrives in Week 11, before the Packers go to Los Angeles for a Wednesday night game before Thanksgiving. Green Bay then gets a long break before playing the Saints 11 days later. Two nice breaks late in the season.
-- Facing the Bears in Week 5 will give Micah Parsons (and any other injured players) time to get ready for one of the biggest games on the schedule. If he starts on the PUP list, he'll miss the first four games but be eligible to practice in Week 3 and play in Week 5.
-- A few stretches look vital to the outcome of the season. Between Weeks 5-9, the Packers will play the Bears, Cowboys, Lions, Panthers and Patriots. Between Weeks 14-18, the Packers will play the Bills, Dolphins, Bears, Texans and Lions.
-- There are two two-game road trips: at Minnesota and at New York to start the season, and at Los Angeles and at New Orleans coming out of the bye. Not terrible times for road trips.
-- The Packers will play in Tampa Bay in Week 4, when temps in Florida will still be high. But the Packers will also host the Dolphins and Texans, two southern teams, in December or January.
