Ronda Rousey makes her long-awaited return to mixed martial arts (MMA) against Gina Carano later tonight (Sat., May 16, 2026) LIVE on Netflix from inside the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, Calif., but as massive of an event as that is some people are still rooting for âRowdyâ to lose.
This includes MMA legend Quinton âRampageâ Jackson, who has heard things about Rouseyâs time with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and is convinced the womenâs combat sports star is âarrogant.â Earlier this week, Jackson spoke about Rouseyâs past during a live stream and spilled the beans about her behavior towards UFC staff members behind the scenes.
Check it out below:
âIâve never been a fan of Ronda Rousey,â said Jackson (h/t Sportsskeeda).
âToo arrogant,â he added. âThere is nothing wrong with believing in yourself but thereâs a fine line. I hate to say this live, but sheâs never been nice to staff and stuff like that, you know, behind the scenes people.
âItâs a fine line in believing yourself and being like overly cocky. In fighting, you have to be confident and believe in yourself.â
Rampage Jackson described Ronda Rousey as 'arrogant' and shared concerns about her treatment of UFC staff during a live stream.
Ronda Rousey's fight against Gina Carano is scheduled for May 16, 2026.
Some fans are expressing their desire for Ronda Rousey to lose due to her past comments and perceived arrogance, as highlighted by Rampage Jackson.

Rousey, who steps inside of the cage later tonight for the first time in nearly 10 years, is either loved or hated by fight fans. Very few are on the fence about the former UFC superstar. Stories like the one above certainly arenât a good look for a ârole modelâ like Rousey, but all can be forgotten if she takes care of business against Carano later tonight on Netflix.
