The Los Angeles Rams are targeting Alabama wide receiver Germie Bernard ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, alongside their interest in quarterback Ty Simpson. They have several key positions to address, including linebacker and offensive tackle.

The Los Angeles Rams are coming into the 2026 NFL Draft with a few clear needs, as linebacker, offensive tackle, quarterback, and especially wide receiver are areas to address.
With those needs in mind, the Rams' plan with the No. 13 overall pick in the first-round of the 2026 NFL Draft will be very interesting. One name gaining some traction lately, while not in Round 1, is Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson.
However, Simpson isn't the only Alabama prospect the Rams are linked to. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Rams are interested in WR prospect Germie Bernard.
"If Los Angeles selects a receiver outside of Day 1, Germie Bernard (Alabama) is a player it has spent time on," Fowler reports.
With the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Rams are very much considering taking a wide receiver. At that spot, USC's Makai Lemon, Ohio State's Carnell Tate, and Arizona State's Jordyn Tyson are the likely options.
Getting more help for Matthew Stafford in this year's draft is a must for the Rams. But with a deep WR class, the Rams might wait until after the first round for their WR help.
If they do wait, then Bernard is a name to watch. While the Rams have shown interest in Simpson, the quarterback for Alabama, one of his wide receivers is also garnering interest from the Rams.

Last year for Alabama, Bernard posted 64 receptions for 862 yards and seven touchdowns. He also carried the ball 18 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns, and he has not fumbled in his four-year collegiate career.
While Bernard might not be the eye-catching prospect like some other WRs are, the 6-foot-1, 204-pound receiver would be a fine pick on Day 2 for the Rams.
They own the No. 61 and No. 93 overall picks on Day 2, which might be a bit too late for Bernard. A trade-up might need to happen to land the Alabama WR, as is the case if the Rams are looking to draft Simpson as well.
Bernard is a name for Rams fans to keep an eye out for on the second day of the NFL Draft if the Rams pass on a WR in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
