The Texas Rangers' trade for Brandon Nimmo from the New York Mets is proving highly advantageous, with Nimmo showcasing a .945 OPS start. The trade is viewed as lopsided in favor of the Rangers, especially compared to Marcus Semien's performance.

The Texas Rangers made a few big moves this past offseason, and while they're only 9-8, nothing too impressive, the trades have netted some incredible returns.
MazKenzie Gore has been awesome for the Rangers starting rotation, but their one-for-one swap with the New York Mets has been a lopsided trade in the Rangers favor.
As Zachary D. Rymer of Bleacher Report highlighted, the Rangers' trade for Brandon Nimmo is looking like a fleece through the early-part of the season, thanks to a .434 OPS difference between Nimmo and Marcus Semien.
"Texas Rangers: They're winning the Brandon Nimmo trade," Rymer writes. "Honestly, it's not even close so far: Brandon Nimmo: .945 OPS, 1.0 rWAR. Marcus Semien: .508 OPS, -0.3 rWAR."
It's only 17 games into the regular season, and there's still plenty of time for things to change with their respective production this year.
But, currently, the Rangers are the big winners of this trade with the Mets. Nimmo is mashing for Texas, hitting .333 with three homers and a .945 OPS. Semien, meanwhile, is hitting just .188 with a .508 OPS.

The early returns on this deal are a massive win for the Rangers. Unless Semien can turn things around, or Nimmo's production falls off a cliff, the Rangers will have fleeced the Mets in this trade.
The 33-year-old outfielder, signed through the 2030 season, has been a revelation for the Rangers' offense and outfield this season. They sent their 35-year-old infielder, who's under club control through 2028, to the Mets for such a player.
This one-for-one player swap between the Rangers and Mets is very clearly going in the Rangers' favor thus far.
What makes it even better is that the Rangers got cash from the Mets in this trade. Not only did the Rangers get the better player, but they got money as well.
Brandon Nimmo has a .945 OPS at the start of the season.
The Rangers have a record of 9-8 following their offseason trades, including the acquisition of Nimmo.
The trade is seen as lopsided due to a significant .434 OPS difference between Nimmo and Marcus Semien.
