Ranieri will imminently leave Roma after Gasperini row
Reports from multiple outlets in Italy claim that Claudio Ranieri is expected to leave his role with Roma following a public spat with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini that has caused a divide among the Giallorossi camp.
Tensions between the two senior Roma figures boiled over earlier this month when Ranieri gave an interview claiming that Gasperini was not even amongst the clubâs top three candidates when they sought to appoint a new head coach at the end of last season.
Gasperini has often criticised the clubâs recruitment of new players and the clubâs medical staff, which Ranieri also hit back at during his interview with DAZN ahead of Romaâs recent Serie A match against Pisa.
This war of words came as confirmation of the ongoing divide within the Roma senior management. There had been reports last week that Ranieri and Gasperini were âignoringâ each other at the clubâs training ground following the interview that Ranieri gave.
