The Las Vegas Raiders accomplished a lot as they selected 10 players in the 2026 NFL draft last weekend. Still, they do still have some potential needs before the start of the season. Letās look at some:
Defensive tackle:
Yes, the Raiders drafted nose tackle Brandon Cleveland in the seventh round. Still, Iād like to see a veteran added here. They need the depth and it wouldnāt be wise to count on a seventh-round pick to carry a big load as a rookie.
Wide receiver:
The Raiders studied many top-level wide receivers prior to the draft, but, in the end, waited until the sixth round to take Malik Benson. This is an interesting position. The Raiders have a lot of numbers at the position and they are counting on Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech and Tre Tucker to carry the load. Still, if the right veteran receiver is available, it may make sense to pursue.
Offensive lineman:
Yes, the Raiders spent another Day 2 pick on the line when they took guard Trey Zuhn. There are a lot of players in the mix and the Raiders are counting on some young players to develop quickly. Still, a another veteran addition wouldnāt hurt.
Cornerback:
The Raiders drafted 10 players in various positions during the 2026 NFL draft, including a nose tackle.
The general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders is John Spytek.
The Raiders need a veteran defensive tackle for depth, as relying solely on a seventh-round rookie may not be wise.

Yes, the Raiders drafted potential star Jermod McCoy in the fourth round and added Hezekiah Masses in the fifth round. But itās unknown if McCoy will be healthy enough to play this season and Masses may start out as a special teamer. If the right veteran rotational corner is available, the Raiders should consider it.
Linebacker:
The Raiders did their heavy lifting at this position on the first day of free agency when they signed Quay Walker and Nakobe Dean. Still, another veteran could be added as health insurance.
