Ravenwood girls basketball hires Dallas Mall as coach, replacing Andrew James
Ravenwood has hired Dallas Mall to lead its girls basketball program, replacing coach Andrew James, according to a May 11 press release from Williamson County athletics director Patrick Whitlock.
Mall takes over the Lady Raptors program while continuing in his roles as a physical education teacher and multi-sport coach at Sunset Middle School in Brentwood, where he's spent the past four years. Mall has coached girls basketball at Sunset Middle since 2022, with additional stints as football and baseball coach.
"We are excited to hire coach Mall. He has incredible enthusiasm that we believe will bring a positive energy to the girls and the program," Ravenwood athletic director Andy Elrod said in the release. "Coach Mall builds a great culture on his team, and we look forward to adding that to the athletic community at Ravenwood."

Mall was a standout football player at Bentley University between 2001-04, breaking the record for most touchdowns receptions in an NCAA career, regardless of division, catching 78 touchdowns in 44 collegiate games. He was inducted into the Bentley University Hall of Fame in 2022.
Mall replaces James, who led the Lady Raptors to a 80-116 record over the past seven seasons. Ravenwood's lone TSSAA state tournament appearance came in 2018, a drought Mall will look to end as he takes the reins.
"We are pleased to announce the addition of coach Mall to our athletics staff. Coach Mall joins RHS bringing extensive expertise in leadership development as we continue to strengthen and expand our girls basketball program," Ravenwood principal Pam Vaden said.
