Real Madrid are planning to make some quality additions to their squad over the summer after what has been another underwhelming campaign compared to their standards.
A new midfielder and a centre-back have been identified as the main priorities for the summer, but the club remain on the lookout for options to improve the squad in other positions as well.
In that regard, the Daily Mail reports that Real Madrid are one of several top clubs keeping tabs on AC Milan and Portugal forward Rafael Leao.
The 26-year-old attacker has had a decent season for the Rossoneri, registering ten goals and three assists from 27 matches in all competitions.
However, with only two years left on his contract, Milan are open to the idea of parting ways with him so as to invest the proceeds in strengthening other areas of their squad in the summer.

Indeed, as per the report, Los Blancos have asked about Leao, even though they have Vinicius Jr., who is set to renew his contract, as the undisputed starter on the left flank.
The idea is to freshen up the squad after another failed campaign and Leao, who can also play as a centre-forward, is being considered as an option.
However, Real Madrid will have to battle it out with top teams from the Premier League if they wish to sign Leao in the summer.
The Portuguese international, after all, is also being courted by Manchester City, Manchester United, and Liverpool, who all are in the market for attacking reinforcements.
As mentioned above, Real Madrid have other priorities at the moment. So, it will be interesting to see if Florentino Perez & co. consider acting on their alleged interest in Leao come summer.
