Real Madrid has officially regained possession of the Santiago BernabĂ©uâs exclusive Sky Bar following a court-approved agreement between the club and the bankruptcy administration of Anastia Gourmet HostelerĂa SL, the company previously responsible for operating the venue.
The club confirmed the development in an official statement, announcing that the Commercial Court overseeing Anastia Gourmetâs bankruptcy proceedings authorized the settlement agreement reached between both parties. The decision effectively ends the legal dispute surrounding one of the most ambitious hospitality projects inside the newly renovated BernabĂ©u.
According to Real Madrid, the agreement was positively received not only by the bankruptcy administration, but also by the majority of creditors involved in the case, as well as by the court itself. The ruling stated that the settlement served the interests of the bankruptcy process by resolving the conflict with âeconomic rationality and legal certainty.â
The decision clears the path for Real Madrid to fully recover control of the Sky Bar space, which had been tied up in litigation after Anastia Gourmet accused the club of preventing it from operating the venue. The company later entered bankruptcy proceedings after accumulating unpaid debts, with Madridâs Commercial Court No. 5 formally declaring it bankrupt late last year.
Real Madrid also noted that it had already secured a favorable ruling in a separate possession-related proceeding before the Court of First Instance No. 50 of Madrid.
The Sky Bar itself is one of the most luxurious and high-profile areas inside the remodeled Santiago Bernabéu. Located at the highest point of the stadium, the approximately 700-square-meter venue was envisioned as a multi-purpose VIP experience combining fine dining, nightlife, and panoramic views of both the pitch and the Madrid skyline.
The space includes two terraces of roughly 250 square meters each, overlooking the stadium, Paseo de la Castellana, and central Madrid. It was designed to operate not only during matches, but also as a year-round premium entertainment destination.
Interior design studio Room 1804, which handled the aesthetics of the project, previously described the venue as âa unique and unrepeatable place in harmony with the Santiago BernabĂ©u.â
The concept behind the Sky Bar was ambitious from the start. Plans called for a customizable VIP area during events, an upscale restaurant during dining hours, and an immersive nightclub experience at night. The venue also emphasized sustainability, innovation, and high-end materials throughout its design.
With luxury seating areas both indoors and outdoors, advanced LED technology, premium gastronomy, and cocktail service, the Sky Bar was positioned as one of the signature attractions of the new BernabĂ©u â a stadium increasingly designed to function as a global entertainment hub beyond football itself.
Now, after months of legal uncertainty, Real Madrid once again has full control over one of the centerpiece projects of Florentino PĂ©rezâs BernabĂ©u transformation.
