Emotional Lampard: Coventry promotion 'right up there' in my achievements
Lampard celebrates Coventry's return to the Premier League after 25 years!
Real Madrid's Gonzalo GarcĂa is expected to leave the club this summer as he is 'not part of the club's plans' for the next season. His role has been limited throughout the current season.
Real Madrid star ânot part of the clubâs plansâ for next season
A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is expected to depart the club this coming summer.
The player in question? Gonzalo GarcĂa.
Frontman Gonzalo has of course played a bit-part role in Spainâs capital across the season to date.
Sitting behind Kylian MbappĂ© in the centre-forward pecking order in Real Madridâs squad, the young Spaniard has been afforded a total of just six La Liga starts.
Gonzalo has nevertheless managed to find the net a respectable six times in all competitions, a haul including a hat-trick against Real Betis back in January.
As alluded to above, though, such production will not prove enough to ensure the 22-year-oldâs continuity at the BernabĂ©u for next season.
As per a report from Blancos insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic:
âGonzalo Garcia will not be part of Madridâs plans for next season. It has been decided that the 22-year-oldâs development will benefit from regular playing time away from the club.â
Real Madrid are therefore eyeing a permanent sale, albeit one which sees the capital club keep control of Gonzaloâs long-term future.
