Wallaceās teammate Sean Fox, one of the stateās top linebacker prospects, is taking his official visit to Georgia this weekend. This is the first of the spring official visits for Fox, who is ranked as a four-star prospect by 247sports and the No. 3 recruit in the state in the 2027 class. Georgia offered Fox a scholarship about six weeks ago.
Noblesville offensive linemen Caleb Johnson and Mason McDermott are both taking official visits to Indiana this weekend. Johnson is rated as the No. 2 in-state prospect in the class by 247sports behind Lawrence North receiver Monshun Sales and McDermott No. 7. This is the start of the official visits for Johnson, who also plans to visit Michigan State (May 29-31), Iowa (June 5-7) and Missouri (June 12-14). McDermott took an official visit to Northwestern last weekend and has one lined up in June to UCLA.
Lawrence Central defensive back Errol Kerns has seen his recruitment explode in the past couple of weeks, coming after his commitment to Miami of Ohio. Kerns picked up an offer from Indiana on Thursday. In the past six days, Kerns has also added offers from Illinois Kentucky, Michigan, Northwestern, Purdue and Texas A&M. He now has official visits set for Texas A&M (May 28-30) and Michigan (June 12-14).
Westfield offensive lineman Nicholas Schurman took an official visit to Stanford last weekend and has upcoming official visits locked in for Purdue (June 5-7), Virginia (June 11-14) and Indiana (June 19-21).
Greenwood wide receiver Benjamin Hommell committed to Lindenwood on Wednesday. Hommell and Cathedral receiver Evan Johnson are both committed to the Lions, who are a Division I FCS program in the Ohio Valley Conference. The school, located in St. Charles, Mo., offered NAIA football for many years before jumping up to Division I starting in 2022.
