Michigan's football program recently impressed two top recruiting targets during their visits, ahead of the upcoming spring game. The Wolverines are focusing on finalizing their recruiting efforts before the official visit season begins in late May.

Spring visits will wrap up in the near future, as the annual spring game is set to take place this Saturday at the Big House. With spring football ending after this week, Kyle Whittingham and the Wolverines will look to host a few more of their top targets on the recruiting trail prior to official visit season kicking off at the end of May.
Let’s dive into the latest news in today’s Recruiting Roundup.
Michigan impresses LB on visit
The Wolverines hosted a top linebacker target last week in 2027 three-star Ethan Hauser. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder who plays at the high school powerhouse Buford down in the state of Georgia was offered by new linebackers coach Alex Whittingham back in February. His recent trip was his first to Ann Arbor.

“I really like the way they’ve been recruiting me, and they are right there at the top for me right now if I’m being honest,” Hauser told On3’s Ethan McDowell ($). “Excited to OV soon.”
That “OV” to Michigan that Hauser referred to will take place during Victor’s Weekend, which falls on the weekend of June 19. He also has official visits lined up to Florida State, Missouri and Vanderbilt, while also holding offers from schools like Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, North Carolina, Oregon, Miami and more.
“The energy from the coaches, as well as the players towards me, definitely stood out,” Hauser said. “They made me feel extremely welcomed and almost as like I was one of the guys already.”
The Wolverines are in need of some linebackers in this class, and Hauser is among the best on their board. He may be underrated right now, but he has a lot of really good football programs recruiting him. With a solid senior year, he should be able to rise the ranks and finish the cycle as a four-star prospect.
Michigan also hosts a top RB target
In addition to Hauser, Tony Alford and the Wolverines hosted 2027 four-star running back Noah Roberts last week for another unofficial visit.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder from Arizona has been to Michigan on a few occasions at this point — including for a game last fall — and will be back in Ann Arbor this week. He’s also expected to visit Texas this weekend for the Longhorns’ spring game, as well as Oregon next weekend for its spring game.
Other schools recruiting Roberts include Ohio State, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Miami and more.
Quick Hitters
The Wolverines offered 2027 three-star offensive lineman Tye Kennedy late last week. Since then, the 6-foot-6, 275-pounder from Arizona has an official visit to Michigan on the schedule for the weekend of June 12, according to Rivals’ Brandon Huffman ($). He will also officially visit Washington — where his father, Lincoln, was an All-American offensive lineman — as well as Utah and Stanford.
Michigan recently hosted two top recruiting targets, although their names were not specified in the article.
