Despite rattling off three straight wins, the Boston Red Sox still aren't where they want to be in the final days of April. They enter play on Tuesday last in the AL East at 12-17.

While the Red Sox overhauled their coaching staff over the weekend and have shown signs of turning things around lately, they still have some work to do if they want to climb back into contention and make the playoffs again.

During his radio appearance on WEEI on Tuesday, team president and CEO Sam Kennedy accepted some blame on behalf of Boston's front office for the team's slow start.

"Absolutely. We have culpability when the franchise is not performing at the level that we hold ourselves to," Kennedy said. "So the short answer is yes, for sure."
