Sunday's game at Camden Yards was an emotional one for the Boston Red Sox, as it was their first one without Alex Cora and much of their coaching staff. For many Red Sox players, Cora was the only Major League manager they'd ever had.
Impressively, Boston still managed to beat the Baltimore Orioles 5-3 in Chad Tracy's first game as interim manager, earning a much-needed series win.
Red Sox rookie Connelly Early stepped up on the mound, earning the win after holding the Orioles to two runs on four hits and a walk over 6 2/3 strong innings.
After the game, Early revealed how he was feeling about everything.
"Obviously, you know, a bit of a shock for everybody," Early said during his postgame interview. "The past 24 hours have been a whirlwind, so just wanted to go out there and show that I was confident out there. We talked within the team before the game. Just wanted to go out there and play baseball and support each other."

Early added that he was proud of the team's performance.
"I think we did a really good job today. Played some really good baseball. Played the way AC would've wanted us to play," Early said, referencing Cora.
Coming off back-to-back wins, Boston will try to keep playing that way on Monday night against the Toronto Blue Jays.
