The San Francisco 49ers are meeting with linebacker prospect Kendal Daniels ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Daniels, who transitioned from safety, had a strong 2025 season with 53 tackles and is considered a Day 3 pick.
The San Francisco 49ers should be wrapping up their pre-draft visits soon for the 2026 class and have recently met with Oklahoma linebacker Kendal Daniels, per KPRC2's Aaron Wilson.
Daniels converted to linebacker after three seasons playing safety at Oklahoma State. In his first season as a linebacker, Daniels finished 2025 with 53 combined tackles, nine tackles for a loss and one pass defensed. In his previous season, the 23-year-old tallied 240 combined tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, 7.5 sacks and five interceptions.
At 6-foot-5 and 242 pounds, Daniels is an intriguing hybrid prospect who could serve a specific role in Raheem Morris' defense if he develops nicely. He's considered a Day 3 player, so the 49ers would either need to use one of their fourth-round picks on him or trade back into one of the later rounds if they think he's a good fit for their team.
