Reports in Argentina claim that former Juventus and current Roma star Paulo Dybala has an ‘agreement in principle’ to join Boca Juniors at the end of the season, after four years in the Italian capital with the Giallorossi.
Reports from ESPN in Argentina are confident that Dybala will be a Boca Juniors player once the end of the 2025-26 season in Europe has come to an end.
ESPN journalist Leo Paradizo reports: “We are in a position to say that Paulo Dybala is going to play for Boca from next semester. There is an agreement in principle, there is a contract and after the World Cup, he will return to Argentine football to wear the Boca shirt.”

The 32-year-old, who has only been fit enough for 18 Serie A appearances and only 12 in the starting XI this season, is currently due to be out of contract with Roma on June 30, 2026.

Dybala, who has spent 14 seasons of his career in Italy, recently discussed his future in an interview with Argentine reporter Joaquin Alvarez. “It would be good, you never know,” he said. “Today, I play for Roma, I have to defend this shirt, but you never know.”
Dybala is close personal friends with current Boca Juniors and former Roma midfielder Leonardo Paredes: “I get messages from Lea, from Cami, his wife, who has a great relationship with Oriana (Dybala’s wife), and we always talk to them.
