Report: Gasperini disappointed by lack of public backing from Roma owners
Sunday’s reports claim that Gian Piero Gasperini is disappointed by the lack of public support from Roma owner Dan Friedkin following last week’s back-and-forth with senior advisor Claudio Ranieri.
Gasperini and Ranieri have come to blows in a series of interviews and press conferences and reports earlier this week claimed that the two were effectively ignoring each other at the club’s training ground as a result.
Ranieri claimed in an interview that Ranieri was not among the club’s top three candidates to come in as head coach at the end of last season, while Gasperini has often been critical of the players that have been brought in and of the club’s medical staff as well.
This situation has left fans divided, picking sides and there have been suggestions that it is fairly inconceivable to see both Gasperini and Ranieri working together at the club next season.
