Report – Inter Milan Decide To Purchase Udinese Owned Starlet After Superb Loan Spell At U23 Level
Inter Milan have reportedly decided to trigger a buyout clause for Udinese loanee Mattia Marello at the end of his loan spell at San Siro.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will purchase the teenager in the summer for a reported fee of €3-4 million.
Mattia Marello joined the Inter Primavera from Udinese last summer, quickly becoming one of the team’s standout performers.
Indeed, head coach Benito Carbone has heavily relied on the 18-year-old full-back this season.
Marello has made 41 competitive appearances for the youth team this term, including 30 starts for the Primavera side.
However, he is still waiting for his U23 debut, with Stefano Vecchi hesitant to include the prodigious left-back in his promotion-chasing squad.
Inter Milan paid around €1 million to sign Marello on loan last summer.
After a string of impressive performances in the UEFA Youth League, the youngster has convinced the club to hand him a permanent contract.
Furthermore, Marello has scored two goals and added ten assists in the domestic championship.
Therefore, it’s no wonder that the Nerazzurri are ready to part with €3-4 million to secure his services in the summer.
Moreover, there’s also a chance for the prodigious defender to join the senior team for pre-season preparations.
