Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan have reportedly entered the race to sign sought-after Red Bull Salzburg winger Kerim Alajbegovic.
According to L’Interista, the Nerazzurri could make a summer swoop for the 18-year-old, who could return to Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season.
Leverkusen sold Alajbegovic to Salzburg last summer, but they can re-sign the Bosnian teenager for only €8 million.
Given Alajbegovic’s immense potential, it’s hard to imagine Die Werkself passing on this opportunity.
However, it’s equally impossible to exclude the prospect of the Bundesliga giants then cashing in on the in-demand forward.
Operating mainly as a left winger, Alajbegovic is also comfortable playing on the opposite side.
