Serie A promotion hopefuls Monza have reportedly joined the race to sign Inter Milan veteran Stefan de Vrij.

According to Forzamonza.it via FCInterNews, Monza sporting director Nicolas Burdisso has set his sights on the 34-year-old center-back.

Stefan de Vrij has less than three months left to run on his current deal at San Siro.

Furthermore, the Nerazzurri have shown little interest in renewing his expiring contract.

However, there’s still an outside chance for the former Lazio star to earn a short-term extension.
