The Pittsburgh Steelers are still waiting on an answer from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but the team reportedly locked up another important member of the squad with a big contract extension Monday.
"Chris Boswell and the Steelers have agreed to terms on a four-year, $28 million extension, league source confirmed," Mike DeFabo of The Athletic posted on Bluesky. "One of the NFL's most consistent and clutch kickers is now tied as the highest-paid in NFL history, matching the deal Brandon Aubrey signed less than a month ago."
Chris Boswell has spent his entire 11-year career with the Steelers, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2017 and 2024, as well as a First Team All-Pro nod in the latter season.

The 35-year-old led the NFL with a career-high 41 field goals made in 2024 and went 27 for 32 on field goal attempts during the 2025 campaign.
Boswell has also stepped up big time for Pittsburgh in the playoffs over the years, going 19-for-19 on field goal attempts across 11 career postseason contests.
His 299 career field goals place him fourth among active players and his 87.68% field goal percentage ranks fifth on that list.
