The word has started circulating among numerous sources that the Vikings will be traveling to Mexico City to face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL’s first game in Mexico City since 2022. The game is reportedly set to take place in Week 11 and will be aired on Sunday Night Football on 22 November. The game would take place in Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, the venue which was formerly known as Estadio Azteca. If the rumor turns out to be true, it will be the fourth time in five years that the Vikings will play a game on foreign soil. They played in England in 2022 and 2024, and were part of a two-game European road trip to Ireland and England in 2025.
