Fermin Lopez has made it crystal clear he is not interested in leaving Barcelona in the summer transfer window and insists he wants to spend his whole career Camp Nou.
The rumor mill has claimed Barcelona may have to make a big sale this summer if they want to go on a summer spending spree and bolster their squad.
Chelsea were keen on Fermin last summer but the Spain star rejected a move to London. Lopez has now spoke about his future again and says Barcelona is exactly where he wants to be.
“I think you can all rest easy. These things happened last year, there are always rumors and things like that that can come out, but I was very calm because I wanted to be at Barça. I’ve always shown that,” he told Mundo Deportivo.
“I’ve always wanted to be here, it’s been my lifelong dream, and now that I’m here I’m trying to enjoy it to the fullest and keep it here as long as God wills. The truth is, I’m very happy and I hope I can stay here forever.”
Lopez has enjoyed a great season with Barcelona, registering 13 goals and 17 assists, and will be hoping he can also play a key role for Spain this summer at World Cup 2026.
