Rickie Fowler was among the high-profile players to miss out on The Masters this year, having failed to qualify for the major.
It was a big blow for the American, who finished second to his compatriot Patrick Reed by just one shot at Augusta in 2018.
And just four years before that, he claimed top five finishes across all four majors, including runner-up spots at the US Open and The Open Championship.
Fowler also once climbed as high as fourth in the world rankings, but now finds himself down in 63rd.
His latest setback involved missing out on qualifying for The Masters, but he has admirably wasted no time in proving his determination to recover before his next event.
Fowler is in the field for the 2026 RBC Heritage, which returns to the PGA Tour calendar this week.
And in preparation for the tournament, he spent plenty of time on the range in a bid to find some form, hitting 211 balls in total.
He’s clearly trying to figure out his game right now, and is certainly going about it the right way as opposed to feeling sorry for himself after missing Augusta.
From his 211 balls hit, 32% were from 0-149 yards, 42% were from 150-249 yards, and 26% were from 250+ yards.
He took to the range on Monday, where his longest drive was 290 yards.
The 37-year-old would undoubtedly have loved to have joined many of his fellow PGA Tour stars in Georgia, but he’s definitely done the next best thing.

While it was a busy range session for Fowler, he does have the advantage of being fresher than many of these also in the field for the RBC Heritage.
That includes the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young and Tommy Fleetwood, who among many others could be feeling fatigued after a long and arduous week at Augusta.
Fowler also has the ongoing motivation of returning to PGA Tour glory, with his last taste of success having arrived at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.
That represents one of his six career PGA Tour wins, which is the same number of cuts he has made this season.
Worryingly, he has failed to make the weekend at his last two events, missing the cut at the Texas Children’s Houston Open and the Valero Texas Open.
Before that, however, he was enjoying himself on the course, making all six of his cuts and even finishing T9 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
In total, he’s made six of eight cuts this season, recording one top 10 finish and four top 25 finishes, with his focus now firmly on the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.
