Rising 2027 3-star DB sets official visit date with Texas A&M

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and new cornerbacks coach Bryant Gross-Armiento have a busy summer ahead of them, set to host a long list of 2027 defensive backs, including several four and five-star commits in the cycle. Looking to establish one of the top future secondaries in the country, one of the more intriguing 2027 defensive backs has set his official commitment date in College Station.

On Tuesday, it was revealed that three-star defensive back Loia Valade has set his official visit with Texas A&M for June 12-14, which will be a packed weekend, and provide Elko and Gross-Armiento to develop a stronger relationship with the underrated DB, whose versatility and work ethic make him an intriguing fit in the Aggies' future defense.

With over 20 offers, including five SEC programs, Valade received his A&M offer on May 1, which is a very good sign that he has already scheduled his OV and will also take official visits to Florida and Auburn. A two-way player early in his career at safety, cornerback, and wide receiver, Valade is a five-tool prospect who, like most 5'11" athletes, is being overlooked due to his size, but plays with consistent physicality.

Running a verified 4.43 40-yard dash last year, the Tennessee native transferred to Boca Raton (FL) this offseason, looking to play on an even bigger stage, which will likely lead to increased attention late in the recruiting process.
